What an incredible way to start 2024! Here at S.T.A.R.S., we believe every child deserves to be warm, safe, and comfortable, especially during the chilly winter months. That’s why we were so thrilled to host our Winter Coat Giveaway, an event that truly set the tone for a year of giving back to our amazing community.
It was cold outside, our doors were bustling with activity as we welcomed 200 children and their families. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and gratitude as we distributed brand new, cozy coats, along with essential gloves, scarves, and hats. It was heartwarming to see the relief and joy on parents’ faces, and the sheer delight of kids trying on their new outerwear, ready to brave the winter weather with a smile.
This initiative was more than just handing out coats; it was about providing a sense of security and showing our neighbors that they are cared for. We heard so many touching stories from families who shared how much this support meant to them, making the effort truly worthwhile.
